Geminus™ XXL Trailer

  • Frame is made out Steel and Aluminum
    • The sides are made out of high strength steel and have triangular cut-outs so that tie-downs can be used to secure your load.
  • Total weight is about 55kg
  • Deck size is 3m x 1m. It can fit 3 euro pallets legally.
  • Total bike length equipped with XXL is 5.1m
  • The wheels are the same aluminum casted wheels as on the bike (they can be interchanged and a spare can optionally be attached to the bottom of the trailer)
  • The brakes are the same as the once on the bike and hydraulically connected to the main brake. This with an optional hydraulic coupler. An overhaul brake caused too many issues in regards to regenerative braking and reverse driving.
  • Standard equipped with lights, optionally with brake lights and indicator lights
  • Optional ramp made out of aluminum and weighs +-10kg.
  • The trailer has independent suspension on both wheels.
  • The trailer deck can is made out of super light composite material (but expensive)
    • We are considering a more economic version with classic wooden base. This would be about 10~15kg heavier though.

    • 30cm height side panels that slide onto the hinges

Geminus™ Lift Trailer

  • Weighs about 25kg
  • 1m wide, 1.6m long – total bike length 3.46m
  • Wheels are 20″ magnesium bicycle wheels. Similar to the front wheels.
  • Can lift 250kg
  • Runs of the main bike or of its own battery(this battery doubles as a spare for the bike)
  • Currently no brakes are present. This is under review as some countries require brakes. This will likely make the trailer wider than 1m and so far has not been decided on.
    • Given that the Twin trike has over dimensioned brakes and that the weight from the trailer transfers to the bikes rear axle when braking the current setup has proven to be more than sufficient for loads up to 250kg. To be continued ….
